
Makenna Kummer is Dr. Stein’s Physician Assistant. She was raised in the East Bay and attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. After college, she took time to obtain clinical hours, which involved working for Dr. Stein as a medical assistant. Makenna earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Dominican University of California. She is accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Physician Assistant Committee of the Medical Board of California.
Makenna is a board-certified physician assistant licensed to diagnose and treat upper extremity conditions, administer injections, and first assist in surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, golfing, and hiking.

Gina Nakhla is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in orthopedics of the hand, wrist and arm up to and including the elbow with expertise in occupational injuries.
She moved to the Bay Area during high school and has stayed in Northern California ever since. She attended the University of California in Davis where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. After a few years of working in the medical field, she went back to UC Davis to obtain her Master degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Outside of work, Gina enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, crafting and biking.
